Set up a device

Each device gets its own config from your device list: add the device there, then follow the steps for what it is. Turning the VPN on and off happens in the WireGuard app — the banner above says which it is for this device right now.

  1. Install the official WireGuard app for Windows from wireguard.com/install.
  2. Download the device's .conf from your device list.
  3. In WireGuard, press Import tunnel(s) from file and pick the .conf.
  4. Press Activate. The banner at the top of this page then says ON VPN.

On and off: the WireGuard app is the switch. Activate = on, Deactivate = off. The tray icon opens it.

⚠ Attention While it is on, websites see you coming from a datacentre address (5.78.185.235), and many of them treat that as a bot — expect extra captchas, and some sites (banks, shops, streaming) may refuse you. Turn it off when that matters. It reaches the internet only — never a home or private network.

  1. Install the official WireGuard app from the Mac App Store (linked from wireguard.com/install).
  2. Download the device's .conf from your device list.
  3. In WireGuard, choose Import tunnel(s) from file, pick the .conf, and press Allow when macOS asks to add a VPN configuration.
  4. Press Activate. The banner at the top of this page then says ON VPN.

  4. Name the tunnel, tap Allow when iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, and turn its switch on.
